    Onion/Potato Storage Bags

I made these bags for storing onions or potatoes. A drawstring at the top of the bag opens to add items. The slits, outlined in red, allow you to take out items without opening the drawstring. Tony

    Love it, asemery!
'Tis a big improvement over the cheap plastic net-bags for onions and spuds at grocery stores .

The slits make all the difference . How do you make them in the net construction process?

Thank you for all the kind words. I really enjoy talking about net making.
When I originally posted these nets (another forum) I challenged interested parties to make their own. I showed the close-ups of the slits as a hint to the construction. Here is the solution to the challenge.

I see...very interesting . Net-making is an underestimated part of Bushcraft if you ask me .

I agree with that startement. In my camping days I always carried a 3'x4' bit of netting. It was used to carry items and to keep clutter and food off of the ground. It made a (slightly unsteady) camp seat when suspended from the ends. I never used for fishing but it would have been well suited for that purpose. Tony
