As you will no doubt have seen the patience of some of the moderating team is being worn very thin by some individuals Adz, particularly those who have been here long enough to know better.

    Anyway....back on topic...today I have bought.....

    NOTHING but there's time yet

Looks like it's been relisted and there's now one bid starting at 99p.

An edit from mod or notice to user is sufficient (At least in this case) so thanks Sapper for pointing out my slip.
I don't think Jus was being serious on that one Adz, hence the "evil grin" smiley

As Sapper says though, back on topic.

Mentioned this in another thread, but got a 38L patrol pack, brand new, for £35 at the local antiques centre. Before the questions start, it is a huge antiques centre, with a couple of units that sell militaria. Every now and then they have new items up for sale.

I have just ordered 10mtrs of rip stop nylon as am thinking of making a UQ using one of my jungle issue sleeping bags and using the rip stop nylon for better wind proofing.

Which denier did you get? Some are more windproof than others.

Hi Adam I do not know what denier it is but hopefully it will be better than just the sleeping bag, I will still take my roll mat with me just in case.

Oh it'll definitely be better than just the bag material
Will be interested in hearing your thoughts on the finished article.

Textile yarns are measured in various units, such as: the denier and tex (linear mass density of fibres), ie how tight the weave is. I used parachute ripstop on mine, the weave is so tight it waterproof, hope this helps atb with the project, Ken
