I bought a Martindale number 2 golok last week from eBay, no idea when it'll show up. Bought it because it'll cost me twice as much as the $32 I paid for it to buy the steel, and likely cost me at least $50 to $100 to build a forge to handle a 10" blade. Wanted a large knife for chopping where its unsafe or impractical to use my axe. So, can you tell I justified buying one? Lol

On my recent trip back to the homeland, good old Blighty, visited a 'Rohan' shop near Oxford and bought a 'Norwegian' woollen pullover. Love it!

Well i havent actually bought them - but my missus has got me half a dozen catering size tins from her work to play with re making more stoves. So a variety of useable (and unuseable) hobo styles will be forthcoming!

When you buy a new piece of kit, whatever it is why not tell us all about it here? Why you bought it? What it does? How much of a bargain it was or, something you'd never tell the wife, why it wasn't a bargain but you had to have it anyway.

Over to you guys. What you bought today?
