Every mile on a river takes you further from home than every hundred miles on a road.

Haglöfs Bungy Zip Hood, black; http://www.haglofs.com/en-us/product...ood_en-us.aspx This must be the nicest powerfleece jacket I have ever owned!

Trangia No. 200245 Kettle; http://www.trangia.se/english/2926.kettles.html 1,4 L kettle with a more "fireproof" handle than the smaller Trangia kettles - and a big enough opening for it to be used as a pot for cooking. This is, together with my Bushcooker, going to be the base of my new ultra minimalistic "short hike" kit

Four packages of windprood matches for the scouts

I've never owned any Haglofs gear. Is it really as good as people say?

In my humble opinion; yes. They are one of the few producers of outdoor clothing that has stayed 100% true to their purpose.
Way too many of the other big producers have degenerated into producing clothing for the "high street adventurers" - and only a few true pieces of, often heavily overpriced, true outdoor clothing.
