shakya - with the hexi tabs I used to just grab a few stones and make a sort of stove with it in the middle and the stones around as kind of a stove/windbreak... noticed i could get a decent boil with aluminium(!) mess trays fairly easily like that...
Samuel. Now that is a good idea... a set of army mess tins would work with that, using a bit of tin foil for a lid. I haven't really decided yet what to use long term but the Honey stove i like as it is seriously multi fuel. I wonder how said stove will stand up to charcoal?
I will put my Brompton up for sale, that should hopefully cover the whole project i have a touring bike so no problem there, we shall see. I have to say thanks to all for the support an advice i am getting.
