They're quite shy in my area and a rare sight, except in winter.
We do feed them ... not a lot , so it doesn't restrict their normal foraging routines

or restrict their normal territorial requirements , they were visiting anyway and a few kitchen scraps or leftovers

just enhances our viewing pleasure and hopefully helps them too !!!

    So good catch :-)
Cheers FishyFolk ... though Boots gave me plenty of time , he wasn't in a rush to go anywhere

and stayed over an hour until the kids next door came out to play and disturbed him !!!

Thanks BJ ... his ears twitched a bit at the unfamiliar shutter noise but I was about 40 yards away

and shooting through the open kitchen window ...

Thanks Mike ... only glad the pics were good were good enough to share , I don't often have much luck with wildlife ,

though my new Sigma 150 - 500 mm lens on the CMOS EFS sized sensor on my cannon 7D

giving a 35mm equivalent focal length of 800mm helped a lot !!! I'm keen to try more nature work now !!!

Thanks for the interest ... Cheers Whistle

All the foxes in my area have to compete with coyotes, and many have been frightened away from daytime excursions due to fools not leashing their dogs, despite it being a city AND state law in my area. The closest they've ever been to my house is in the meadow across the street, and even then they only reveal themselves by barking during the night.
