    Howdy from Texas

To start off, 1. I don't own a horse or work cattle, 2. I don't wear a Stetson hat. To sum my history: served in marines, oil field, and now teach science to children at risk. I have been camping since age five according to my mom. Since I live on the coast I have knocked around in boats from kayaks to commercial fishing boats. Every minute I could find was spent camping or fishing. My hobbies include birding, artifact collecting, and knife collecting. I am in the process of getting back to the woods after a few years of health problems. I am getting back in shape and spend a couple of weekends a month in the dirt again. I'm heading out this evening for a fishing trip in Matagorda Bay. There's a place that I can hike to that has some good red drum fishing right off the beach and maybe some winter flounder. I will post some pics. I really enjoy the posts and look forward to a long association and exchange of ideas.
