I went for a walk last Wednesday night after Cubs and decided to take the long way home. It was a beautiful night and saw some amazing sights.
Some deer crossing the path almost right in front of me.
Lovely sunset.
So this combined with the fact that I was on holiday from work and the weather was forecast was this unheard of thing called summer I decided to go for an overnighter - my first proper wild camp!
So next morning I got up packed my bag and headed out after lunch. I wondered about for a bit on one of the paths to my usual haunt and then sat for a bit and had a go at spoon carving (no pic but it wasn't the greatest anyway). After a while I thought I'd best think about finding a spot for the night. As the path I was on can be a bit busy with dog walkers I decided to head up Brimmond Hill and had the intention of going over the top and then into the woods at the other side. However as the sun was beming down I decided not to go so far so just went part the way up and decided to take the circular path round and see if I could find a secluded spot to hang from.
I found a spot and set up camp.
Camp set up it was time for a coffee...
....and some sausages for tea.
