The people who help him out there are what kept him alive and the book often reminds you that a man can't do it alone out there; He needs friends and comunity. Guys relationship with his dog Fuzzy and the sled team for me was the most interesting parts of the whole book. I will read this book again...... and again. Fantastic read.
I have just ordered Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer which also looks like a great read.
I too at first thought it seemed selfish.......................then i thought of how much money he's probably made too!!!
