A tale of woe, a warning and request for help!

Hello Guys, thanks for the interest, two chaps were arrested and pleaded guilty to possession of stolen goods and drugs...other than that there have been no further developments. I was over in Maine at the end of August for my brothers wedding (it is an amazing place - great for lovers of the outdoors) and he very kindly gave me some vouchers for LL Bean - a local outdoor megastore (worth a day out to alone) so I got a replacement for my MSR stove and got a leatherman to replace my SAK. I have a new waterproof coat on my Christmas list so here's hoping!
