    Knife shape

As per other thread, I am planning to get a few blanks waterjet cut.

I am wondering about what blade shapes to get cut.

    Thanks for your thoughts,

    Joel

A woody clone as a general purpose knife to keep handy in the belt. And a Mora 711 in my pack for leisurely whitling and small tasks in camp, please.
And the Mora is so cheap that most can afford two blades, if you don't have weight issues. But then Mora wins, as it's incredible whart you can do to those knives...and because of price, there are no economic worries either really.

As for Enzo...the blade is too thick to be a good whitler and the handle is outright uncomfortable to work with for more than a few minutes. It's designed for skinning and slaughering game, not a woodcraft knife. But the shape of the blade lends itself to that also. But If I get a new
one today, I would never use the Enzo scales. I would make my own...So given that I could make my own scales A Enzo trapper shaped blade is overall a good alternative to the woodyclone...
Victory awaits the one, that has everything in order - luck we call it
Defeat is an absolute consequense for the one that have neglected to do the necessary preparations - bad luck we call it

If you got a trapper style blade in say 2 or 3mm, would that be OK?

Nope, but with a good knife, axe and saw, you can get along quite nicely! Never seen a knaxaw though
