Foraging With Nova Kim and Les Hook

Yesterday I had the pleasure of doing a bit of foraging up in Piermont, New Hampshire with Nova and Les, who have a combined 80+ years experience in wildcrafting and teaching. We were on the look-out for common as well as the lesser-known edible and medicinal plants. Here are a few pics from the walk...

It was quite an enjoyable experience with such knowledgeable folk . And at the end of the walk, we treated ourselves to some soup with tastes from the wild - venison, Black Birch sap, Ramps, Great Burdock root, Oyster mushrooms, Stinging Nettles, Common Mallow, and carrots....delicious .

If I ever get the opportunity, I'd love to take a few classes with them .
