    Tree book

    I am really not on the right page but couldn't see a "book" thread.... I am looking for a book which shows me how to identify british trees and their bushcraft uses ect ........
    Thanks for all advice

    Collins gem mate,great little books,around 4.99 a piece,think I got them all now,"food for free" is about the best there is in my humble opinion.Paul

    Yup - agreed. I used mine yesterday to identify a Spindle tree, so called as the wood was used to make the spindles onto which wool was spun.

    Collins books are about the most informative. I received 3 of them on Birds, Fungi, & Trees 2013.

    Does anyone have titles collins have a lot of book. I have seen 1 called TREES does anyone have this 1.

    Just checking the details. I have a few Collins books I received 2013 onwards. Collins Tree Guide ISBN 978-0-00-720771-8 £18.99 *gift have also 1 on Fungi same range of books.

    hello,
    Toney something I found of interest. Our Countryside/Woodland Trust & Forestry Commission keep a record of what trees are officially planted plus location. I sometime ask them for A4 print outs of locations as to I.D trees. In the local area a number of non native species were planted gifted to the area & curious as to what actually was planted. Details were readily available.
