nice kit, i prefer lighter packs like this, have you tried the gerber (bear grylls) saw? im actually a huge fan of it - i assumed it would be mass produced rubbish but its actually a very handy bit of kit which i carry with me most days at work. do you carry another folding blade on you aswell? - i know technically that would be 3 'cuting tools' but if you lost/dropped your fixed blade it would be hard to skin somthing with a folding saw :P - again, great kit. love the spoon too!

I have a lightweight kit for hiking/camping but for bushcraft practice this kit does me well and is still fairly light in comparison to some of the kits people use and certainly some I used to carry myself. Never tried the Gerber saw but do not doubt its a great piece of kit.. I own the Bear Grylls Firesteel which is a great piece of kit and possibly the best firesteel and striker I own.
I do not carry a folding knife although I do carry a neck knife on times but not often

    Thanks again

Where I plan to camp is a pine tree so I will be making myself a makeshift mattress, otherwise I would normally pack an inflating mat or foam mat which also saves on weight and bulk
