    Axe mask

If I was to comission an axe mask from one of you excellent leather magicians on this forum.
How much would I be expected to pay?

If you don't like to say in an open forum, please send me a PM.

Just have to tell you I may not afford it right away. Just a fair warning as I do not wish to waste anyones time.

And I will noty make one myself. As I really do not have the interest in leatherwork to justify purchasing the tools needed to do a good job at it.

Anyway the mask is for an Hultafors Felling Axe HY-20

Let me just say that I am not after a work of art. Just a functional leather mask for my axe that will last for a while. But if you can't resist pimping it up a little with your personal touch, I am all for it, within reason of course. :-)

Also if I can cut the cost by doing parts of it myself, for example completing the finish, I may be able to make an actual comission sooner :-)

But for now, I just need to now how much money to put in the jar :-)

    NEVER MIND.
HI Rune, I would not be prepared to make a mask / sheath for any axe or knife without having the item to build it around, making something to someone's size or drawing
and then finding that it does not fit only leads to frustration and arguments, others may do it but I think it can only lead to trouble, If however David JAFO has the same axe and he was willing to send it to me I could make 2 at the same time other than that you could always make one yourself - as we would say over here it would be another string to your bow and you can always say " I " MADE THAT.

I do not really fancy making one, as I do not have any of the materials at hand, and as stated earlier, I do not have the tools to do a proper job of it. Which means I have to invest in tools as well. And that would just not do, as it would be the only time I would make something like this.

Well well, If it can't be done I'll make an ugly one from gaffa tape...

But if you ever get the same axe into your work shop, give me a shout!
