The Ale Hen is from a Norwegian tradition Oak.
Imagine a nordic hall, with many visitors and a good fire, food.... A giant hen shaped bowl, full of Ale or Mead, and floating on the top is an armada of beautifully carved hens bobbing in anticipation of being filled to the brim.... let the convocation begin......!!!!

Chortle.... I know what you mean Jonny.... Pot belly stove, blanket and rocking chair = nothing done, but a healthy environment for thought... And dozing...

For sure Luke. A Mora will get the job done.... For a few pounds extra I would highly recommend a MacNic hook...http://spooncarvingfirststeps.blogsp...og-page_4.html A far better edge tool... J
