    Hello from Glasgow!

Been lurking for a while, thought it only right to get registered. So hello all you lovely like-minded bushy people, i look forward to expanding my brain further from this bursting at the seams information outlet and throwing in my own personal preferences and ideas. Though i am not a central resident of glasgow, i am grateful to live 9 miles from the centre. In a lovely little village called duntocher just outside clydebank. Behind my house is the central lowland hills, continue north west and you'll end up in loch lomond. Lots of little collections of trees around and in grazing fields owned by Glasgow's university that give me a place to hang in my hammock and chill out a way aways from my streets and the distractions of my bedroom. I've never asked for permission to start fires because i didn't think it necessary considering i have a good knowledge of fire management and the ground is always waterlogged and i don't make useless bonfires.

Is it a must that i seek permission?

Also i'm going a 6 day trek at the end of april and i have my eye on a highlander forces 66 bag from greenman bushcraft for the event. Does anyone have any feedback on these packs or is there cheaper equivalent option out there that someone could recommend to me?

    Cheers guys, peace!

    Hello and welcome.

I sure that there have been threads that cover most if not all of your questions. I've found the search function useful in the past when I've been looking for information on the site.

    Cheers,

    M@
