    Smile Salad Spoons (Eucalyptus)

I've just finished a couple of large Salad Spoons I've been making as a christmas present for the mother-in-law.
It has quite a nice interesting grain. I sanded most areas to quite fine; 2500 grit! But it was quite rushed toward the end... hence only finishing it today and wrapping just in time for Christmas!

Very nice mate but I'm sure you should not use that stuff for carving spoons so you better send them to me just in case LOL Have a great Xmas mate

Full marks and admiration, Having just started my first attempt at carving I can fully appreciate the skill and time that must have gone into those salad spoons.

Cracker them, Ash, do you have to use a special oil on Eucalyptus?

Awesome! How difficult did you find working with eculyptus? My parents have a massive tree that I grew from a sapling and have to chop back every year, and I've always wondered whether you could carve from it - the most I've done is make a crude walking stick from a naturally straight branch
