Trapper
Another good source of free leather is old settees, sometimes you come across them outside blocks of manky flats, or you can take a trip to your local council re-cycling centre or tip, the bit you sit on is 'Chromed leather', the rest is vinyl, I've made various things out of it

Alone in the Wilderness
Hi all, search for satansbarber on YouTube. He has some informative stuff that will give you some idea of the techniques etc. Will also give you an idea of some of the stuff to get. I'm just starting out myself and am looking at getting the tools from http://www.leprevo.co.uk/tools.htm. They seem reasonably cheap to me and I am on a tight budget so have been shopping around. Hope this helps.
