Just remember everyone - if you post something on the internet in a forum, twitter, facebook etc its the same as publishing it - and if its defamatory, could possibly lead to legal action.
This has been the case for a long time and in the UK has been brought sharply into focus by Lord McAlpine who is pursuing those who erroneously either named him on the net as a paedophile or repeated statements from others.
Trip Advisor is another area which is open to defamatory /untrue comments.
Dont put anything in writing (inc forum posts) unless you are prepared to defend it in law. Sad but thats the age we live in. Its also very easy to whack something into an email or a forum post in reaction or in the heat of the moment, which given a little reflection time you wouldn't post. Theres plenty of evidence of other forums where this is common place.

Peaks makes a good point in as much as a Google search on a topic (any topic) will frequently bring up numerous results of links to posts on forums where it's portrayed for all the world to see...
Writing posts in forums does not keep it just in that forum.
Don't sweat the small stuff - and it's ALL small stuff...!
