Just thought I'd mention that they have an Android app as well, so we Android users aren't out in the cold.

I'm not sure, I imagine they'll want it burnt/destroyed as fungi can still kick off in seasoned wood that has been shaped and used for things.

    Ok fellas
Just a bit more info for you. I can't go into the reasons why I know the following and please don't ask.

FERA have been doing a nationwide survey into Ash Die Back for quite some time now. The survey was due to be completed in three weeks time, however, the government had a C.O.B.R.A meeting on Thursday.

As a result of this meeting, a red flag was raised and FERA have now been instructed to have the survey completed by this Tuesday instead!

It is seen as an extremely serious issue and there is a call for any and all instances of Ash Die Back to be reported by any member of the public ASAP.

PLEASE do your bit folks and report it if you see it.

    Many thanks

    Ade

I really think this is important so I've dedicated the frontpage of my website to this @ http://www.naturalbushcraft.co.uk/

If you can think of anything vital I may have left out please say, I'm not aiming for it to be a comprehensive article on the disease, more a place where people can go to easily learn how to identify and report it, also links to further info if they're interested in the intricacies of the disease.

If you think that page will be useful to share with folk you can copy & paste the direct address here:

Such a shame . Ashes are such beautiful, grand trees.
We don't have Ash Dieback disease in the US (thankfully), but many American Elms are gone from Dutch Elm disease, and the American Chestnut (once said to be "queen of the eastern woodlands") is all but extinct because of Chestnut blight.
