Mock!!! US????? Never would we do such a nasty and underhanded thing!
Ok that was a fib!!!

(whisper) That's right Martin - you deflect the focus away from the conspiracy by evoking some pathos and sympathy. But you won't get your hands on the tiffin tins for keeping quiet... oh no - they are all mine, I tell you. mmmm, I'll maybe have to go into hiding.... luckily I know a friendly informative forum that helps with such things and never takes the urine (well, not without filtering it first through some old socks or something).
Chemtrails are real enough. Why and what are they is the question.
The difference between a normal contrail and chemtrail is the length of time its visible. Contrails are just water vapour and disappear within a minute. Chemtrails do not dissapear, they remain in the air for hours.
No point listing dodgy sites and expect people to take notice. Conspiracy theorists will claim they are bad. But we do not know that at all. I've not seen one for over a year, plenty of planes and contrails, but no chemtrails. If they were doing anything to harm us, would they still be mooching around under the stuff, no, yet they do.
Chemtrails are real gentlemen. What isn't real is all the conspiracy carp about them
Best to watch them for what they are and ignore the spin.

They are even visible to satellites, and the sat images show they are sprayed in a grid pattern

Chemtrails is a conspiracy term, which is why when you search you get rubbish
This is the official term for what are known as chemtrails
"stratospheric aerosol geoengineering and solar radiation management"
This i expect is the real reason for them
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geoengineering

Now the real question behind them IMO, is this
Are they there to combat climate change? Or are they there to cause climate change? Been spraying since 96. You decide

Don't we have a forum for flying saucers and little green men we can assign this to?
Victory awaits the one, that has everything in order - luck we call it
Defeat is an absolute consequense for the one that have neglected to do the necessary preparations - bad luck we call it

Hillbill, you are correct in that they CAN be considered chemtrails, as contrails are more than just water vapour (troposphere needs a certain dewpoint at atmosphere in order for contrails to occur, a hit or miss for us sometimes) stirred up at high velocity in air, the contrails contain engine exhaust remnants as well, which is what we are studying when following between 5 and 15 nautical miles behind collecting samples. And the disturbed air, known as the wake, lasts for quite a period of time after an aircraft has passed though, and contrails last a relatively much longer time than a minute, depending on the dewpoint up there and temp. Interesting fact about aircraft wakes and their associated contrails (when conditions are right, 70% moisture and up), the air is disturbed even 15 miles back, much like water from a boat is still recovering from it passing by a while later, but the cool thing is the wake/contrails actually fall by a couple thousand feet over a period of time, then disappear once settled down.
So, because the engines exhaust (black carbon, aerosols, NO/NOX, etc.) gets absorbed by the water molecules in an aircraft's wake, is why I say they can be considered 'chemtrails', that type of water in a contrail isn't something you'd want to drink.
