As a relative new comer to the natural bushcraft community, I was beginning to wander what I did in my spare time before finding this wonderful site, and as I was looking for something totally different at the time, I'm beggared if I can remember what it was?

Can't top anything you've all said - totally agree and thanks.
Ade - in order to avoid such abuse again - take up bat watching - it fills your night and at least when the little beggars squawk at you, you can't hear them (unless you have a bat detector, of course)!!

Thanks again for your support folks, I've just returned from 2 days in the woods - much needed recovery time

Oh yes! I forgot to mention the positive part the site is on a faster server now so the whole of the site & forum should load ever so slightly quicker.

Don't worry - it wasn't. I like this place to be open about what goes on so if it was under attack I would have mentioned it publicly... I didn't give a detailed update because each day I lulled into thinking it was going to be fixed faster than it actually was and frankly the intricacies of virtual-machine hard-drives becoming corrupt, restoring MySQL databases and data-center technicans walking out on us at 3 in the morning are mind-numbingly boring

It's back though, that's the main thing, enjoy.
