    Exclamation Forum Downtime

Apologies for the downtime folks but the community is now back online. I fear we might have lost 12 hours worth of data from before the forum went offline but other than that all should be in order.

Thank you for everyone's patience and support whilst the site & community has been down.

It's a long-story but to put it short; there was a critical upgrade to MySQL that needed to be performed on the server (if not done it would likely resort in the site being hacked)... this upgrade was straight-forward but an engineer at the datacenter was also using this maintenance window as a oppertunity to move our virtual server to a new host, they cocked this up and then disappeared leaving us powerless for a long durations, they've been pants at getting back to us but they have been working hard to resolve it, we've moved everything to a new (hopefully more stable) server now. We certainly have more control over this one so shouldn't have to rely on others so much.

Welcome back everyone. The smell of fresh paint is quite nice.

Thanks again for your support folks, I've just returned from 2 days in the woods - much needed recovery time

Oh yes! I forgot to mention the positive part the site is on a faster server now so the whole of the site & forum should load ever so slightly quicker.

I would like to complain in the strongest terms about the recent forum downtime.

I am disgusted that due to the lack of Natural Bushcraft and the inclement weather I was forced to stay at home and actually talk to my wife for 2 days!!

I hope that I will never be subjected to this type of mental and emotional abuse again.

Lol. Seriously tho folks, thanks for all the hard work behind the scenes to bring NB back on line for all our enjoyment.

All the best and thanks again

    Ade.
