As long as a piece of string

Let's try another exercise in imagination ...

In a survival situation, we find a 3m of proper paracord, you know the stuff.

What can we do with that then?

(Let's limit it to one idea per post, continue a list of ideas so far and not post another idea until someone has gone after you)

    I'll start with ...

    1. Tie something to something else

Pull out some of the fibers from the center and use as a fishing line along with a Hawthorn thorn as a hook.

Use it as the string in a friction fire bow to make fire

This is a bit of a punt ....

If you were really stuck and needed to filter water then first thoughts would probably involve a bit of t shirt or other fabric etc.

But how about teasing one end of paracord open and trying to filter water by pouring down the central strands ??

    As I said above , it's a bit of a punt ....

    Cheers

P.S. Hope no bushies or others were caught out in West Wales !

    Not a bad idea actually.....

Mine, tie it to a piece of cloth and use it as a sling to chuck rocks for fun, and occasional hunting.
