Ey Folks...
Just back from round two. More lush scenery...
Met a lass on the first day who was quite chatty so I walked with her to the end of the walk.. she took an instant interest to bushcraft and I showed her how to use a firesteel and build a windbreak with debris...
She was also a bit underequipped... she had a 1 season sleeping bag and these were clear nights on an elevation so I lent her my bag liner and had her take a rock from the fire, wrap it in something non synthetic and take it into the bag with her. This helped her a lot! So I have a new friend... militant vegan but I can let that go...
We got to inverness late on about 8ish and had to search for a hostel - highly recommend the student hotel if anyone is going... Only problem I had is I ended up at the bar with some friendly backers.
