I cast about 150 Lead balls for the slingshots today .. Bit of a challange because of the temps up here . I dont know how the guys in the days of Flintlocks would have done it . Unless they cast them in there homes.

Heres a pic of the new pouch and lead.

    Cheers

    Thanks Al.
How much do the ball molds cost? I've been wanting to play with melting down my old lead pellets, and would rather make something useful out of them

Cheers Bri. I shall definitely be drinking from it. It holds about half a pint, so will be fine for me cider

Cheers Al. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a slightly cheaper one, as it won't get used very often lol.

Tell me about it. There's not much I can do at night time, as the neighbours would complain about noise, so doing bits of the workshop in the day, and little (and quiet) crafty bits after dark lol.

I should be able to dig out the forge and anvil (buried behind steel bars and pallets at the moment) on Monday/Tuesday with any luck. Then I can crack on with your striker

Might have to throw up a tarp if it's wet weather, as haven't got the roof on the forge yet lol.
