Part 1 of restoring my Brasher walking shoes.

I'd noticed the soles begining to peel away. Figuring they've served me well over the past couple of years and i've not looked after them as much as i used to do, I reckon they deserve a bit of TLC

Begining with the soles. Hopefully i've not stuck the tie wraps to them lol

That net needle is better than the shop bought plastic ones that I use, well done.

Went for a walk on west Kirby beach with the boyos and had a nosey at the flora n fauna. Tried teaching them a bit about the marshes n wetland reserve there. Loads of natterjacks and newts. Dragonflies were huge and the range of edibles was great. Left the phone in the car so no pics sorry

Today I decided that a spare fishing reel spool I had was going to be turned into a small hand line reel, I only used hand tools to make it and it has turned out ok'ish considering the tools were a hacksaw blade, small chainsaw file, old type hand drill and some wet and dry paper, its not as nice as the ones that fish makes though but hopefully it will work, I would take a picture but my camera is broken at present.
