Sleeping out over the Christmas period

Anyone planing to sleep out at all of the chistmas period?

I'm planning on sleeping in my tent tonight or possible tomorrow night. No where special just the in laws garden. Trying to sleep out at least once a month and have yet to sleep out in December.

If you are where are you planning and what are you going to sleep in, under, on ?

Yeah, same for me Dave.. I have been advised to pore some water into the bottom of the wood burner just before I sleep, to slow things down. Not tried it yet though..

Yurts are amazing Resnikov. I am going to be making one asap. The one here belongs to a friend.

Hoping to get a night out at some stage over the Christmas holiday.

Depends on how others are fixed as I don't really fancy a solo this time.

Was a little cold last night as I borrowed my father in laws sleeping mat and he dosnt have a full length one and my feet got a little cold.

Was a good learing seesion, I put the tent up whilst wearing my gloves which is a nice to know I can incase I ever have to. Also never tried putting tent pegs in to / through snow before. Woke up a few times through the night, not sure if that was excitment over christmas or paranoia over frezzing but was OK. In the morning the tent had a bit on condenstation on the inside so it must have been warmish in there.

All in all it was fun.
