Mess of beech future kuksas and spoons

Had to gather up some wood to make some kuksa blanks also took back with me a good size piece for some future spoons to. To windy to work out today doing carving besides I needed some fresh wood for kuksa trades that are in the works. I think I will be updating this thread regularly when I get it processed and start carving them up. The log for the kuksas is roughly around 4 feet or so long might be a touch bigger and about 6 inches around just guessing lol

Well despite the wind I decided to go out and get a rough Kuksa blank started today. I think I got maybe a half an hour to 45 minutes work into it so far just using the axe and hawk pictured. Also started up a new eating spoon this is going to be a good size soup spoon made from birch

Beech kuksa is just about close to being done and have to say this is my best one yet. Started it yesterday. So far I think I got maybe 3 or 4 hours into it. Tools pictured all I used and log it's sitting on is where it came from. She is roughly a touch over a half a cup haven't done a final measurement yet now the fun part time to sand
