We use a Camping gaz 30 litre cool box run off a 12V supply and it works very well. The down side is that it can be a little noisy when you are going to sleep at night, not that it has ever been noisy enough to keep us awake.

Hi Fletch Y not try and get one out of an old caravan 12v and gas there are some on ebay under campin,good luck,Truck on.
