Deer tracking video.

Hi folks

Had a day off today so I decided to go and do a bit of deer tracking as I haven't done any tracking for ages. Unfortunately I forgot to take my good video camera with me, so when I wanted to do some filming I could only do it on my phone. So I apologise in advance for the crappy quality and the perspective of the video.

I tracked the deer for just short of two hours until I eventually came to the deers couch, this is the place that it settles down to sleep in. There was plenty of female droppings and some hair from its winter coat.

I'm going to go up there again soon with the proper video camera rather than the flat slab of Apple iPhone daftness that I keep in my back pocket.

It really hard to put into words the feeling that you get when you can connect with where the deer slept after spending so long tracking. Especially with the added bonus of finding its hair in the bedding. Sounds daft I know but it provides some sort of connection, a tangible link between you and the animal.
