    a work in progress.

i found a nice antler on a big red deer on exmoor last autumn,so not being one to miss an opportunity i made the most of the fresh carcass and had ,amongst other things ,the antlers.

so last week i shaped and carved the handle shape and today i set about doing some scrimshaw, not the best i know ,but my eyes int what they were!

its supposed to be a Norwegian whaler circa 1860,set in the Arctic ocean with arctic tundra in the background.

    thanks for looking.

Like you said, i think a nice hand forged one would look real good.

What is that your putting into the cuts after they've been carved?
