Simular thing happend to my son Steves boots at one our Essex outbacks meets the plastic soles melted and the boots shrunk by two sizes he didnt have them on at the time he was drying them off and forgot about them He could not get them back on .

I've never seen that video before.. It reminded me of Del Boy falling through the bar flap in Only Fools and Horses, and just as funny. One drops off and the other one comes off in sympathy...
