    Exploring the woods

Hi all, been out this afternoon with my eldest son. This was the second trip to the woods I have just got permission on.
All I can say is the part of the woods today has not been touched for years, the trees are old and the undergrowth is covering everywhere, we had to make our own way through. Finally found a part that had been cut back, but it must have been several years ago, and it was near a footpath, but again this had not been used for a long time either.
Anyway, we set up my cheap tarp (£4.99 plastic) and set about starting Our fire, this done water set to boil, stuck the bacon on sticks over flame, when done warmed naan breads and instant bacon Butties and a nice hot drink.
While this being eaten looking and listening to nature, what a buzz. Then to top it all off a bird of prey calling out and flew overhead, fantastic.
Still buzzing after getting back and now can't wait to get up there again.
Will try and get my camera up there next time and get some pictures up for all to see.
