    Acorns

Is it just me or does it seem to be a bumper year for acorns? I've never seen so many. It looks like mother nature sneaked in and put laminate wood flooring down on the back lawn. I can't see the grass out there any more.

Looking round everything seems very heavy with fruit.

Not that many up here. I picked some off the ground last week and have potted them up, along with potting up some elderberries. Their aren't many blackberries about either. I've got some sloes in the freezer ready to flavour some gin.

We had so many blackberries here I was worried the sparrows would eat so many that they wouldn't be able to take off. This October is so warm I've got buds growing on some of the plants. It's crazy.

And I'm not a tramp. How do I change my status?
