Flying/travelling with your gear

I have actually wondered how to move my gear around without any of my gear getting pinched at the airport...first idea was to have cheap gear so it mitigates the damage... problem is the bergan doesnt have anything to lock, its just some plastic clasps and a drawcord

So lets say your going far by train or by plane. How do you secure you're gear?

I have a problem as I have a web tex bergan which cant really be secured... I'm either going to have to buy a new bag or shove it in a holdall...but then i'm either binning the holdall or lugging it around the whole time

You can buy rucksack locks basically like an expanding steel wire cage- pac safes i think they are called. Heavy and expensive though
