    Fire Bowls

I had a chat on here with Bowers and was trying to describe the Fire Bowl. The name escaped me at the time.
This is something I like to use for making camps more sociable with a fire, especially if cant make an actual fire.
I do this a lot with my children at home, or the special needs children I work with.
Its a lot of fun with a flimsey but light odd looking collander!

Good idea.. Thats a steamer btw. You use them inside a saucepan.
Does it bend with the heat..?

Not quite a steamer. I found it when perusing through ebay whilst bored. here is one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Grilliput-Comp...item3a60a2550f

flimsey but fun as you can see. Didnt scorch the earth either. Kids had fun building fires safely, and using dfferent fuel (cones, wet leaves, slugs....)

For £3 you can buy something similar (a steamer) from Wikinson's stores in the UK. The body and fold-out vanes are perforated which I'm guessing would provide a bit more oxygen flow to a fire. (No, I don't have shares in Wilkinson's ...!)

Another great buy from Wilkinsons. I was looking at these a while ago http://www.heinnie.com/Survival/Fiel...1-484-508-513/ but the Wilkinsons 'grill & fire bowl' do exactly the same thing. I do like the look of the collapsible grilliput but its £30 whereas the Wilkinson one is £2.50!!
