    To make things worse, this is the second pair of boots that Matt has lost in the same fashion.

    What boots are they Matt..?
    I had a pair do that to me once.. I was able to use some small screws and screw the soles back on when I got home..

    They look like aload of "cobblers".

    Jeez - not enough 'copters, not enough body armour, guns that don't like sand, and now melting boots! Some Rupert from the MOD needs carpetting eh?
    If you stretch out both arms to represent all time on earth, then with one stroke of a nail file you could eradicate all human history, and 98 per cent of all human history was spent in the stone age.

    Cable ties will fix that. Not elegant but my last one lasted for months.

    Not quite Zee, these were German army issue.

    Oh...well in that case I suppose that's quite reassuring, should our EC cousins attempt the hat trick.
