    Fantastic Book on Sustainable Living

If you're curious about this lifestyle, or you're already neck-deep in it and want to learn a few more tricks, no library is complete without The Self-Sufficient Life (and how to live it) by John Seymour.

    Here's a link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Self-Suffici...1421265&sr=8-1

This book is a goldmine. It covers many topics, such as the philosophy of self-sufficiency, gardening, animal husbandry, farming, hunting, foraging, food preservation, building construction, and various crafts that serve the sustainable household.

Everyone can benefit from this knowledge.

(I am not affiliated with Amazon, Dorling Kindersley or John Seymour)

I love the way you Canadian guys are so polite/thoughtful to give links to Amazon.co.uk and you always seem to convert things to metric. Anyway, thanks for the link, looks like a good book and I also learned what DK stands for.

It's the logo on most of the books you find in the really cheap book shops and also the books the book seller brings around to the offices. They do loads of factual/self help titles. If you want to take up pretty much any hobby, DK will have a title to help you. My favourite to date was BDSM for complete beginners, it was a spanking good read.

Not me, I'm not fast enough for metric, I just give it to you in inches..............

That opened the door for the clever minded.
