I've had a super summer, Sarah and I have spent it with friends old and new. We've demonstrated at a couple of venues, The Scottish Crannog Centre and The Wilderness Gathering.
Both these events where super and well attended.
With a wee bit of teaching to those who could find us in the Shire, it all came together nicely.
We spent some time camped on the shores of Loch Tay, The Crannog Centre put on a fine show of Iron age skills. They may do another event of the same theme next year.
It was a little damp, but our little tipi kept the rain out.
We came back to the Shire after the show and cleaned everything off ready for the WG.
I also had to get some stock made. The main reason we go to WG is to hopefully interest bush crafters in using their edge tools to produce functional art. I think we're quite successful in spreading the word.
Anyway, less of the waffle.
I have always been struck by the idea of being able to produce folk art with minimal tools, at the moment I am working on Dragon Kuksa. My latest piece is carved from spalted Birch.
What I thought you'd really be interested in is the tool kit list. So, all on one stump, the tools of my trade.
Well, I hope you all had a fine summer with lots of adventures and new experiences which you can talk about over the coming winter fires....
All the best.
J.
