    Howdy from the Big Smoke

    Hey everyone!

This is the first time I have thought to get involved in a forum on bushcraft but have been gradually increasing my knowledge of it and practices on it over the past few years. I am, however, still utterly incapable of carving any kind of useable spoon or lighting a bow drill fire, so plenty of room for improvement! 🤣

I've always been one to head out alone but would love to hear from other like minded people in London that would be interested in overnighters in or around the capital within reasonable travelling time. We are lucky enough o have Highgate and Queens woods on our doorstep so that allows some space very local to practice.

    Howdy!

If there are no women around and a man says something, is he still wrong?

    Hello Vaughan and welcome.

FWIW I'm not all that brilliant at carving spoons either. I can get a good point on the end of a stick though. Usually.

I hope to meet you at the Breakfast Club at some point.

    Cheers,

    M@

It's good to know that I'm not alone! Thanks, I'll hopefully see you there sometime.

    Hi there..
Also alone in the the big smoke here... I usually keep it safe in Kent and the south east, short 1-2 night trips... Still learning loads and getting back into the swing of things following an injury this year. Gabriella
