    These boots are made walking...

Im looking for some advice on boots? I currently use Meindl Bhutan, I really like them, low ankle, tough and waterproof.

The only issue I have is that they are a little heavy on my feet. I have a Knackered knee (Skiing accident). Im just wondering what other light weight boots are out there? They have to be waterproof and hard wearing. I go shooting and beating.

Any advice would be much appreciated. TIA

I always tend to use Merrell for Scouts and DofE which see a lot of use. Last well and the most comfortable I have ever worn.

Do the boots have to be waterproof?
What about non-waterproof boots and waterproof (i.e. Sealskinz) socks?
I wonder if that might make for a lighter and more versatile option.

Yeah they need to be waterproof. I think my feet would sweat a lot in sealskinz? Ive looked at the Salomon Quest? Im just not sure they would last.
