    Which oil?

    Hi, first post here.

Would first like to give a massive (belated) thank you to Ashley for spending an evening of his own time getting my online - top man, thank you.

I'm here as i'm thinking about making a wooden fruit-bowl and was wondering if anyone could give me some hints for how to treat it (if at all) once complete?

This is my first attempt at a bowl so any other tips would be gratefully received - should probably master spoons first but....

    Happy bushcrafting!

    Hello Matt and welcome aboard.

I'm no expert regarding carving but I think linseed oil is typically used, although not boiled if the article in question is to be used for food.

Have a peek at this thread - it may help --> https://www.naturalbushcraft.co.uk/f...-Wood-Finishes

    Happy carving!

If there are no women around and a man says something, is he still wrong?
