If you want a Wetterlings axe, get one before it is to late!

Just recieved info from Gränsfors Bruk, who also owns Wetterlings, that they are merging the two, and that the Wettterlings forge is from now on
going to produce Gränsfors Bruks axes, which means no more Wetterlings axes with the Wetterlings name will be produced.
This is due to dwindling sales of Wetterlings axes. And to save the jobs at Wetterlings, who uses the same materials and production methods as Gränsfors Bruk.

Thinks I have to take extra good care of little Wetterlings hatchet....

That's a shame as they produce some great axes. I recently took delivery of axe #118 - wetterlings outdoor axe. I choose it over the GB small forrest axe and couldn't be happier with it. A great all rounder for bushcraft.

That will just turn out to be a re-badge right?
Same quality tools , different logo!?

Smart move for both companies i guess , but less choice for the consumer...

    Yes,
They will continue production with the same tools and materials at both places. The two brands where quite identical
and used the same production methods and raw materials anyway.

Thanks for the heads up, I wonder how this will affect the product lineups/models available.
