well i soaked it in coke overnight and have just removed all the rust, it is actually metal coloured now rather than rust haha.
it isnt going to be a show piece anyway, so i will probably just leave...

well i have made some progress on the blade , i let it soak in coca cola for a few hours, took it out and scrubbed it with aluminium foil, thats made a big difference so far , going to let it soak...

yea they are quite common, ive managed to get a very decent edge on the blade, so its pretty damn sharp , but just looks a bit nasty.

i recently found an old knife while cleaning out my grandfathers shed, its a cool looking knife, its not a rare one one...

i just use youtube vids to make bracelets and lanyards from paracord , i want to get a book about it too though

i have the same one myself , its a great little knife , nice and sturdy , good blade , and the saw is quite effective too

i have a Victorinox Alox Farmer , which i thin k is great, really sturdy and has a good sharp blade, and the saw is pretty good,
i also have Victorinox Spartan and Victorinox Tinker. both very good.

i have an Alox Farmer, lovely sturdy knife. i noticed what you said about the shape of the blade on the alox models compared to the nylon handled ones Jakob, i prefer that shape to be honest.

Black Victorinox Spartan, Victorinox Silver Alox Farmer and a Red Victorinox Tinker.

i'm going to swap the scales from the tinker and the spartan.

i'm looking at buying a SAK Farmer Alox myself. or just a single blade Alox

no probs fella's, yea i agree that the majority of the stuff on his site does seem to be pretty expensive , the mora twin pack is the only thing ive bought from there , cant see myself buying...

same here Mora Robust 2 for £20. cant get better for that kinda money. ive been very impressed with the ones i bought =)

i'm sure its a superb knife but i wouldnt pay that sort of money on a knife myself

i have a Cold Steel Finn Bear knife, its not too bad , its inexpensive , easy to sharpen and holds a decent edge.
not as good as a Mora, but decent enough. havent got a Roach Belly though
