Seems like Woody has dibs.
Drat!
It seems to me that not that many dads spent much time looking after their kids in days gone by.
As someone who worked part-time to look after his nipper I always appreciated any ideas on new...
It's a hefty book.
Of course there's some duplication, as there is with all writers in the field, but I'd say it was worth it.
But it will come down in price - as they all do after a few months...
Will definitely go again next year. Would like to camp next time - will have to see how that pans out.
Has anyone read this book?
Is the author perhaps a member?
Only he lists this site first amongst the "Useful Resources" .

Just got back. Had a good day. Anyone else go?
Is that a BCUSA patch?
Thanks.
The next question is do I have any? I think I do. Otherwise a quick visit to the Pound shop.
A magnifying glass is an under-rated piece of kit - for fire lighting and allsorts of other things eg looking at tiny critters, splinters etc.
On a connected note, what glue would you use to repair a German poncho? Mine's got a tear where the cotton tie inside has pulled. I was thinking the glue from a cycle repair kit.
You might want to edit yr mobile out mate. You can Private Message people - much safer.
Same here - many thanks.
We're going. Taking my lad and a mate who's into outdoorsy stuff. Everyone's looking forward to it.
Really kind, thanks - pm sent.
Great, thanks very much indeed.
I'd say Roman too.
Do you mean the modified end result? I meant the Old Hickory knives that can be modded - I thought they were not uncommon.
In the US a fair few people seem to use thrift/junk store Old Hickory knives to modify into Nessmuk/Kephart designs. Are they easy to get hold of?
We went to the Bushcraft Show, it was really good and the weather was superb.
I went to talks by Surita Robinson & Paul Kirtley. Also did sessions on prearing small and larger game by Stonewood...
We had a great time. Anyone else there?
Anyone going?
Whoa - nice find
Not pointless at all.
I make sure not of my kit rattles, or clanks, because not only does the noise spoil my enjoyment of outdoors, but it massively decreases chances of spotting critters.
In the latest issue is a short review of the book Lost In The Jungle by Yossi Ghinsberg that I did.
I'm really pleased.
It's the first in a new feature where readers can submit a review.
