My advice would be to get a copy of Ted Moores Canoecraft ISBN 13: 978-1-55209-342-9 which gives you the offsets for several sizes of canoe and plenty of info on how to build them too.

It is a resounding FAIL
I think the real problem is that the spice grinder does not produce fine curls that one gets by scraping with a knife, the whizzed up bits glow and even smoke...
