With a substantial canal network in the midlands you could try one of those? Scout using google earth and pick a nice quiet wooded area away from the "maddening crowds"

Can't beat a good "kettle on campfire shot"...
After a week in Scotland I can agree, a little close to the ground, so you do have to shift rocks and debris away from your bum area, but still a great addition to the luxury items.
