Started the sewing part of my new hammock project ,something similar to the Wilderness logic Snipe hammock. I've not decided on the length yet. The way I've done it I can start off long, then shorten it. The Snipe is 3.3m long, UKhammocks do theirs 3m long, DD's are about 2.7m I think.
I need a bigger house to accommodate making big hammocks / tarps in the living room, for some reason my missus does not agree with my logic. :confused:

Had a go at the DIY Bushbuddy stove today, it did indeed cost under £2 (not counting tools) It worked well, kicked out a lot of heat burning the fuel very quickly. Ideally I'd have used a kettle or other pot with a lid but I tried with a mess tin which I think was a little big for the stove and so didn't achieve "big bubbles-no troubles" using already potable water though it would have been hot enough for a nice cuppa ;)Attachment 8708Attachment 8709Attachment 8710

Not exactly bushcraft but tonight i shot 2 rats before it became to dark.

I'm not big on ego but I felt proud as punch that the guys enjoyed it so much. Also, one of the guys lifelong ambition was to find a pignut. You should have seen his face when I showed him a field full of them and set him about digging a couple of them up!!
